Leroy Logan attends first annual Royal Free Charity staff awards

Leroy attended the first annual staff awards event for the Royal Free Charity. This was attended by around 80 staff and volunteers.

After his introduction video he spoke to us about the crossovers between his life and his experiences at the RF Trust. He also gave out a signed copy of his recent book to a member of the team.

Leroy said of the event: “

“I feel part of the RFC family because I was born in the original Royal Free Hospital (RFH) in Liverpool Road, Islington. I’m also proud to have worked as a research scientist for three years (1980–83) followed by all of my three children being born in the RFH, Belsize Park. I fully identify with the RFH Brand, which celebrates its 200th year in 2028.”

Following this, the charity were lucky enough to have Leroy hand out the awards to our Living the Values winner Craig Johnson who is the manager of our recreation club at the Royal Free Hospital.
